New to Midtown?
Here are a few things to know...
Where We Meet
City of Refuge Building (adjacent to Ridgeway Elementary School)
Where To Park
There is a parking lot on the East side of the City of Refuge building (facing Ridgeway Elementary School). Enter this lot from Grand Avenue.
There is also a parking available on the North side of the City of Refuge building. Entrance to this parking is on Sexton. Look for the Midtown Presbyterian Church sign.
What About Kids?
We have a nursery for ages 0-3. Kids over 3 will be with their families during worship**. During the sermon, kids age 4-7 are invited to go to the Children's Lesson. Kids older than 7 stay in worship for the whole service**. If your little one makes some noise or gets squirmy and needs to walk around in the back, it won't bother us at all. In fact, we expect kids to move around a little during worship. Not a big deal!
**Stop by the Midtown Kids Welcome Table, where you can check your child in and take an age-appropriate worship bag for both younger and older kids.
***During the Summer months, we've gone to nursery-only on Sundays. We will bring back the Children's Lesson for 4-7 year olds starting Sunday, August 19.
What Should I Wear?
We're not worried about what you wear to Midtown, and we don't want you to be, either. So, whatever is comfortable to you...wear that.
As a church plant, we're taking a minimal, grassroots approach. Midtown is a young church, only 9 months into worshiping together. As such, we're still learning and growing in what it means to be a church for Midtown. We don't have Sunday School classes just yet, only our worship meeting at 10:00am. There is a nursery for little ones and a Children's Lesson during the sermon (see above).
